Metamons is a free tool with no user accounts and no login. We aim to collect as little as possible. This page explains what is processed when you use the site.

Data stored in your browser

Your theme preference, in-progress teams, and team-coach chat history are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us and are cleared when you clear your browser data.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights and Ahrefs Web Analytics) to understand traffic and performance. We do not sell personal information.

Advertising and cookies

Metamons may display ads through Google AdSense. If advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. We will provide the choices and obtain the consent required by applicable law before enabling those technologies for visitors in regions where consent is required.

Advertising is limited to substantial editorial pages such as the homepage, competitive guides, and format explainers. We do not intentionally load ad code on the team builder, Pokédex data pages, games, contact forms, or legal pages.

AI features

When you use the AI team-coach chat or "rate my team" features, the team data and message you submit are sent to our AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate a response. Requests are rate-limited by IP address (via Upstash Redis) to prevent abuse. Do not submit personal or sensitive information in these fields.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we use the email address and message you provide solely to respond to you.

Third-party services

  • PokéAPI and data.pkmn.cc — Pokédex, move, and Smogon usage data.
  • DeepSeek — powers the AI team-coach features.
  • Vercel — hosting, analytics, and speed insights.
  • Upstash Redis — rate limiting for AI endpoints.
  • Ahrefs — aggregate web analytics.
  • Google AdSense — advertising on eligible editorial pages.

Your choices
