Metamons is a free tool with no user accounts and no login. We aim to collect as little as possible. This page explains what is processed when you use the site.

Data stored in your browser

Your theme preference, in-progress teams, and team-coach chat history are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us and are cleared when you clear your browser data.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights and Ahrefs Web Analytics) to understand traffic and performance. These do not build advertising profiles and do not sell your data.

AI features

When you use the AI team-coach chat or "rate my team" features, the team data and message you submit are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response. Requests are rate-limited by IP address (via Upstash Redis) to prevent abuse. Do not submit personal or sensitive information in these fields.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we use the email address and message you provide solely to respond to you.

Third-party services

PokéAPI and data.pkmn.cc — Pokédex, move, and Smogon usage data.
OpenAI — powers the AI team-coach features.
Vercel — hosting, analytics, and speed insights.
Upstash Redis — rate limiting for AI endpoints.
Ahrefs — aggregate web analytics.

Your choices
