How to Play

  1. Type a Pokémon name and choose it from the autocomplete suggestions.
  2. Click the suggestion or use the keyboard to submit your selected guess.
  3. You have six attempts. Each wrong guess reveals more of the artwork.
  4. A generation hint unlocks on guess two and type hints on guess four.
  5. The full answer appears when you solve it or use all six attempts.

Daily Pokémon Challenge

The challenge uses a stable selection for each UTC calendar date, so every player gets the same Pokémon that day. It resets at midnight UTC and remains unchanged across refreshes or deployments. The pool covers National Pokédex numbers 1–1,025, from Generation I through Generation IX.

How Hints Unlock

The first clue identifies the Pokémon's generation after your second submitted guess. Its type or types unlock after the fourth. Hints never show the name before the game ends.

Search for a Pokémon and choose it from the suggestions to submit a guess. Incorrect guesses gradually reveal the artwork and unlock clues.
02Does the puzzle change every day?
Yes. Every player receives the same deterministic challenge for the current UTC date, and the puzzle changes at midnight UTC.
03How many guesses do I get?
You get six attempts. The answer is revealed after a correct guess or after the sixth incorrect guess.
04Which Pokémon generations are included?
The daily pool covers National Pokédex numbers 1 through 1,025, spanning Generation I through Generation IX.
05Can I play on mobile?
Yes. The searchable suggestion list and guess controls work with touch, mouse, or keyboard.
06What happens after I guess correctly?
The Pokémon's name, artwork, types, and generation are revealed. You can share the result, open its Pokédex entry, or add it to the team builder.
